Export in millimetres; mention the intended scale if unsure.
Min. wall
0.8 mm recommended; 1.2 mm or more for load-bearing walls.
Holes & fits
Allow 0.2 – 0.3 mm clearance for mating parts and press fits.
Overhangs
Angles beyond 45° need supports — we'll advise on orientation.
Large parts
Anything over 256 mm can be split, keyed and bonded.
Critical dims
Mark them in a drawing or note so we can prioritise them.

Precicom 3D is an additive manufacturing studio in Porur, Chennai. We operate a small, well-maintained fleet of FDM printers and focus on the things that matter to engineering customers: parts that match the CAD, honest lead times and clear communication.

Every order is reviewed by a person before it's printed. We check orientation, wall thickness and fits, suggest changes where they'll make a part stronger or cheaper, and confirm critical dimensions before dispatch.

Common questions

How is the price of a 3D printed part calculated?

Pricing depends on material used, print time, support material and quantity. Batch orders are priced lower per part. Send your file and we'll return an itemised quote, usually the same working day.

What accuracy can I expect?

For most FDM parts, ±0.2 mm is typical on well-designed features. Accuracy varies with part size, geometry and material, so tell us which dimensions are critical and we'll orient and tune the print accordingly.

How long does an order take?

Single prototypes typically ship within 24–48 hours of quote approval. Batch jobs depend on quantity and print time — we'll give you a firm date in the quote.

I don't have a 3D model. Can you still help?

Yes. Share a sketch, drawing, photos with measurements or a physical sample and we can model the part for you before printing.

Do you deliver outside Chennai?

Yes, we dispatch across India by tracked courier. Local customers can also collect from our Porur workshop by appointment.

Will my design files be kept confidential?

Your files are used only to produce your order and are never shared with third parties. We're happy to sign an NDA before you send sensitive designs.
